Tom Cruise Risks it All in First American Made Trailer
The first trailer for American Made, featuring Tom Cruise as a daredevil airman, has landed!
Playing real-life American pilot and hustler Barry Seal, Cruise is taking back control of an aircraft more than 30 years after ruling the skies in Top Gun (and soon before making his real, much-anticipated comeback for the sequel, Top Gun: Maverick).
Although it sounds completely crazy – so crazy you probably couldn’t make it up! – the film’s plot will follow the true, incredible story of Seal, who worked both for the CIA and as a drug runner for the Medellín Cartel led by Pablo Escobar during the 80’s (earning as much as $500,000 per flight).
Scheduled to come out on September 29, the thriller also features Domhnall Gleeson, Lola Kirke, Jesse Plemons, Jayma Mays and Caleb Landry Jones.
American Made marks Tom Cruise’s return in front of Doug Liman’s camera, who previously directed him in the sci-fi movie, Edge of Tomorrow, and will do it again for its upcoming follow-up, Live Die Repeat and Repeat.
