Dodgeball Cast Reunites for New Omaze Campaign Video
13 years after the release of the comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, the great and super creative charity, Omaze, managed to reunite Vince Vaughn, Christine Taylor, Ben Stiller, and Justin Long for a new, funny video campaign aiming to raise money for the Stiller Foundation, founded by the actor himself.
What is there to win, you may ask? Just the most epic game of Dodgeball ever (!) as explained by the characters of the hilarious movie, below.
So there it is, White Goodman wants you to grab a ball! Join Team Globo Gym – or Average Joe’s, if losing is your thing – as they face off on the dodgeball court for one final showdown. Donations to enter the competition start at only $10, so if you’re feeling lucky – or simply generous – head to Omaze’s website for a chance to win this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be side by side with the 2 legendary teams for the ultimate dodgeball game in New York City!
By participating, donators will support Ben Stiller’s foundation created in 2010 with the mission to support children around the world by providing educational opportunities to help them realize their full potential.
As usual, Omaze succeeds in both drawing attention to a good cause and delivering a unique moment for movie and celebrity fans. And reuniting the whole Dodgeball team probably wasn’t as easy at it seems with all the actors having very different schedules – but in the end it’s all just worth it!
“It was really strange and fun,” explained Ben Stiller during an interview with the magazine Entertainment Weekly. “I didn’t know what it would be like, because I was away from it for so long and I never really thought there would be any reason to do the character again, but then when this opportunity came up, especially talking to Omaze and what good ideas for fundraising there would be, over the years we’ve been aware of people who are fans of the movie and their connection with it, which I’ve appreciated.”
