Toni Collette & Co. Get Some Crazy Time Out in ‘Fun Mom Dinner’ Trailer
Being a mom can be pretty constraining. At least that’s the context Hollywood seems to be willing to capitalize on these days by producing movies where swamped, careful mothers decide to go rogue (exhibit A: Bad Moms). And Fun Mom Dinner, featuring Toni Collette, Molly Shannon, Katie Aselton, and Bridget Everett as 4 parents getting some well-deserved, crazy time off, is no exception!
As the trailer below reveals, the movie will focus on a group of moms who decide to get together for a fun night away from their households, kids and responsibilities. Although at first glance they don’t seem to have anything in common, the 4 ladies will soon discover that they are more alike than they think as the wild night, filled with alcohol, karaoke, a cute bartender (played by Maroon 5 Adam Levine), and some weed, goes on.
The comedy, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, was written by Julie Rudd, wife of comedian Paul Rudd (who has a role in the film) and directed by Alethea Jones. Adam Scott and Ron Huebel are also part of the movie, portraying clueless fathers who have to take care of the kids while their wives enjoy their night out.
Fun Mom Dinner is scheduled to be released on demand and in selected theatres on August 4.
