Star-Studded ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ Gets Official First Look with 8 Photos
The magazine Entertainment Weekly has shared online 8 exclusive official images of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express adaptation directed by Kenneth Branagh, who will also play the famous detective Hercule Poirot.
Scheduled to be released on November 10, the mystery movie is the second motion picture adaptation of Christie’s famous novel (43 years after Sidney Lumet’s 1974 version), which follows Belgian private investigator Hercule Poirot’s race to solve a murder that occurred onboard of the legendary Orient Express traveling through Europe, where all 13 passengers are suspects.
The film’s all-star cast includes Penélope Cruz, Daisy Ridley, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Josh Gad, Olivia Colman, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Leslie Odom Jr., and Derek Jacobi. An overload of celebrities that quite complicated the making of the adaptation, involving “a ton of planning, I’ll tell you,” as stated by director/actor Kenneth Branagh, who had to juggle between the cast’s very busy schedules to make sure everyone’s scene was shot on time.
