Netflix’s ‘The Defenders’ Trailer Shows Marvel’s Superheroes Joining Forces

Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) are finally teaming up in the first trailer for Netflix’s The Defenders in order to save New York City from an evil menace.

Now that they’ve all been introduced in their very own original series produced by the famous VOD platform, it’s time for the group of superhumans to unite for this crossover mini-series and fight a new villain played by Sigourney Weaver. The actress will appear as Alexandra, a character that was described by showrunner, Marco Ramirez, as “a very powerful force in New York City,” who represents “something massive to pull these four characters from their individual worlds to work together.”

The Defenders will be available on Netflix from August 18 and will consist of 8 episodes.

It has also been recently unveiled that French actress, Elodie Yung, could reprise her role as Daredevil’s Elektra, who might be back from the dead.
