‘Twin Peaks’ Revival Trailer Brings Back Some Familiar Faces

Less than 3 weeks before premiering on Showtime, Twin Peaks revival is getting a trailer that brings back familiar faces. A quarter century later, some of the original cast of the series are returning, including FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), Ed Hurley, Carl Rodd, Deputy Andy Brennan, Sarah (Laura Palmer’s mother), Deputy Andy Brennan, and Deputy Hawk.

Based on the 2-season 90’s series of the same name created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, the follow-up will pick up 25 years after the events of the ABC’s original show and consist of 18 episodes, premiering on May 21, 2017.

Once again written by Mark Frost and David Lynch (who also directed every episode), Twin Peaks will first air with a 2-hour installement, after what the premiere and an additional 2 episodes will stream online. The show will conclude on September 3, 2017 with a 2-part finale.

Last April, Lynch revealed the new season’s impressive cast made of 217 actors, which includes famous names like Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Monica Bellucci, Jim Belushi, Laura Dern, and Ashley Judd.
