Will & Grace Cast Sing About their Comeback in Funny NBC Trailer

Debra Messing finds it difficult to come back on a show she left a decade ago in this new 5-minute long promotional video for NBC’s Will & Grace upcoming revival.

Announcing the return of the series on a musical note, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, Megan Mullally, and Messing sing their way into the official comeback of Will & Grace – as if they never said goodbye…

There is something refreshing about the honesty infused in this new trailer, where the 2 lead actors playfully perform as their own selves after coming out of a meeting at NBC’s studios (note each floor’s label in the elevator – it’s quite something!) and debriefing on the actual set of the 1998 show. As for Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally, it seems like they never really left their characters Karen and Jack behind, both still hanging out in the sitcom’s apartment and drawing a very thin line between fiction and reality.

The result is fun, nostalgic, exciting, and makes us feel like, even though some time has past, we never really left the 4 friends.

James Burrows will return in the director’s chair for this highly expected Will & Grace resurgence, which will feature 12 new episodes to air during the 2017-18 season, more than 10 years after the show’s 2006 2-hours finale, watched by an average of 18 million viewers.

NBC’s decision to bring back Will & Grace to the small screen goes back to September 2016 when the cast of the series reunited for a 10-minutes online special to urge Americans to vote in the presidential election. The video was so successful (with today more than 7 millions views and counting) that the TV network soon after announced it might bring back the beloved sitcom, before making the decision official on January 2017.
